This notice explains what we collect when you sign up for meetup notifications, and how we use it.
What we collect
When you subscribe to meetup notifications we collect your email address and, if you choose to provide it, your first name. To record your consent, we also store the date and time you signed up, the exact consent text you agreed to, and — when available — the IP address and browser information from your signup request.
Why we collect it
We use this information only to send you notifications about Greater Lafayette Chess Club meetups — new meetup announcements, reminders, schedule changes, and cancellations. The consent details are kept as a record that you asked to receive these emails.
How it is used
We do not sell or share subscriber information. We do not use your email for anything other than meetup notifications. You will not be added to any unrelated mailing list.
Email delivery
Emails are sent through a standard email delivery service on our behalf. That provider processes your email address only to deliver our messages.
Retention
We keep your subscription details for as long as you remain subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we retain a minimal record that you unsubscribed so we can honor your request and keep an accurate consent history.
Unsubscribing
Every notification email includes a one-click unsubscribe link. You can unsubscribe at any time, and no login is required.
